Arkaingelle is a visionary reggae artist and spiritual lyricist, hailing from Guyana, South America. His music reflects his deep connection to the divine and his mission to spread love, unity, and consciousness. His soulful voice and poignant lyrics weave together a rich tapestry of roots reggae, dancehall, and conscious vibes, transporting listeners to a higher plane of existence. With a career spanning over two decades, Arkaingelle has collaborated with top producers and artists, and has performed at renowned festivals and venues worldwide. Hailing from Buxton, Friendship Village, Arkaingelle, birth name Roxroy ‘Mykal’ Younge was raised by Christian grandparents in a modest village home. He was captivated by music and aspired to become a musical performer at an early age, playing the steel pans and singing. His Grandfather was a classically trained pianist and gave “younge Mykal” his first music lessons. Participating in the church plays and school talent shows gave ‘Mykal’ a taste for performing. Growing up under the strict tutelage of his grandparents started him on his journey in the roots and foundation of Rastafari.

Arkaingelle embraces music compassionately; He plays keyboard, melodica, bass, percussion, drums, and trumpet. He sees music as an instrument that has the potential and capability to heal and arouse to higher consciousness. Arkaingelle’s blazing vocals, meditative lyrics and rootical sound continues to resound thunderously within the cultural reggae scene across the world. Arkaingelle delivers heavyweight roots music with a spiritual message and an energetic frequency which when combined, have been seen to captivate and bring joy to a broad diversity of audiences. Rastafari continues to be his focus and guide, taking his time to hone and develop his unique sound. With the Faith and Banner of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie- “mighty life-giver shield and buckler.” Arkaingelle continues to espouse a high spiritual manifestation within oneself and the continued right for Justice and Peace and equality among all peoples through the power of music.

Arkaingelle has graced venues in Guyana, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, France, U.K., U.S., Spain, and a few other countries around the world, and always leaves his audiences captivated.
